It’s Book Fair Time

The Book Fair is here! This year there are two fabulous ways to shop, including the new online fair.

In Person: March 14th to March 18th, between 7:30am and 3:00pm in the Skyview Library.

Online: March 14th to March 31st. If you aren’t able to visit the Book Fair, you can now shop online! All online purchases benefit our library!

Students can create wish lists and invite family and friends to buy through our fair
It offers an expanded book selection – books for all ages, even adult titles

Please join us to make this Book Fair the BEST our school has ever seen. We hope to see you at the Fair!

Science Expo

Be sure to come check out Skyview’s Annual Science Expo on Thursday, February 17th. Students have been researching and creating since early January and you can come see the amazing end result of these efforts. You’ll be blown away by a library full of experiments, scientific demonstrations, video documentaries, artwork, and much more. The Expo will be set up in the Library from 8:00-2:45 and in the evening from 5:00-7:00.

[ March 15, 2010 to March 19, 2010. ] The Book Fair is coming! Skyview’s second book fair of the year will be Monday, March 15th – Friday, March 19th in the library. Check out the fantastic selection of books, posters, school supplies, and computer software. Find yourself something fabulous to read over Spring Break!

Steve Layne is Coming to Skyview!

Dr. Steven Layne

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Steve Layne, author of This Side of Paradise and Mergers is coming to Skyview on Wednesday, December 2nd!

This is Dr. Layne’s 3rd visit to Skyview and he will be speaking to 7th grade students about his life as an author and the writing process.

He will also be doing a book signing and autographing books that students purchase. If you’d like to purchase a book and get it signed, please download and submit the following order form to your child’s language arts teacher by Tuesday, November 17th.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s Language Arts teacher.

Space Night

[ October 8, 2009; 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] Make sure you come check out Space Night on Thursday, October 8th from 5:00-7:00 at Skyview. We will have student rocket launches, raffles and games, student work displayed, an inflatable planetarium, food for sale, a band concert, and much much more! Bring the whole family for a night of space fun and education!

Books are Due!

All books are due Friday, May 8th! Please return your books or pay any outstanding fines by that date. Thanks for your help in getting all of our library materials back in!

Students with outstanding fines or books still checked out will not be issued report cards until their library accounts are cleared.

Make sure to stop by next week from Monday 3/16 to Friday 3/20 to shop the great selection of books, posters, school supplies, and more! What a great place to pick up some great holiday gifts! We'll be open every day from 7:45 - 3:00.
